01What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site owner. This policy explains how RingSafe uses cookies and similar technologies on ringsafe.in.

Beyond cookies, we also use technologies such as localStorage (for theme preferences) and server-side sessions (for sign-in state). For brevity, "cookies" in this policy refers to all of these.

02Categories of cookies we use

Essential

Strictly necessary cookies

Required for the website to function. They cannot be switched off without breaking core features such as signing in, filling out forms, or maintaining your session.

Examples: wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-*, _lscache_*, security tokens (wfwaf-authcookie), CSRF tokens.
Functional

Functional cookies

Enable enhanced features and personalisation. If you disable these, some features may not work correctly. Examples: course progress, sidebar collapse state, "stay signed in" preference.

Examples: academy_progress, ui_preferences, cookie_consent_state.
Analytics

Analytics cookies (opt-in)

Help us understand how visitors interact with the site so we can improve it. Data is aggregated and not used to identify individuals. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled. Retention is 14 months.

Examples: _ga, _ga_*, _gid (Google Analytics).
Performance / CDN

Performance & CDN cookies

Set by our content delivery network (Cloudflare) and security layer to identify legitimate visitors and serve cached content faster.

Examples: __cf_bm, cf_clearance (Cloudflare); __lscache_vary (LiteSpeed).

03Cookies we do NOT use

RingSafe does not use:

  • Advertising or marketing cookies (we do not run advertising)
  • Cross-site tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, DoubleClick, AdRoll)
  • Third-party retargeting cookies
  • Behavioural-tracking tools (FullStory, Hotjar, etc. — we do not use these)

If you find any cookie on ringsafe.in that does not fit one of the four documented categories above, please report it to [email protected] — we treat unidentified cookies as a security issue.

04How to manage cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings:

Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to the academy or completing forms. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your experience.

To opt out of Google Analytics specifically without disabling all cookies, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-Out browser add-on.

05Do Not Track

We respect the "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signal. When DNT is enabled, we do not load Google Analytics on your visit. Detection is handled client-side via JavaScript before any analytics tag fires.

The Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is similarly respected.

07Updates to this policy

We refresh this Cookie Policy whenever our cookie usage changes materially. The latest version is always available at ringsafe.in/cookie-policy. Substantive changes will be flagged in the page header for at least 30 days.
