These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ringsafe.in, the RingSafe Academy, and all products and services offered by RingSafe (“RingSafe”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing the site, creating an account, or purchasing any service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who we are
RingSafe is an Indian cybersecurity consulting practice and online learning academy, founded and operated by Manish Garg. Contact: hello@ringsafe.in.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, purchase a subscription, or engage our consulting services. By using RingSafe, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Account registration
3.1 Sign-up
Accounts are created via Google OAuth. We collect only your Google-verified name, email, profile picture, and Google user ID. See our Privacy Policy for details.
3.2 Account responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account used to sign in. Any action taken through an authenticated session is presumed to be authorised by you. Notify us immediately at hello@ringsafe.in if you suspect unauthorised access.
3.3 Account termination
You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@ringsafe.in. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, particularly the Community Guidelines (section 7), after reasonable notice except in cases of immediate harm.
4. RingSafe Academy subscriptions
4.1 Tiers & pricing
- Free tier — access to Beginner / Fundamental modules, free security tools, community forum, DPDP Self-Assessment. No payment required.
- Basic tier — ₹499/month. Adds access to all Intermediate modules. Grants 30-day access from activation.
- Pro tier — ₹4,999/year. Adds access to all Advanced and Extreme modules, plus all Basic tier content. Grants 365-day access from activation.
All prices are inclusive of 18% GST as of the “Last updated” date. Prices may change; changes apply only to new purchases, not to already-purchased subscriptions.
4.2 Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay. RingSafe does not store any card or bank credentials. Upon successful payment, your subscription is activated within 24 hours (subject to manual verification during beta; automation via webhooks is on roadmap).
4.3 Renewals
Current pricing is one-time per billing period (no auto-renewal). Your tier automatically downgrades to Free at expiry unless you repurchase. All progress, quiz scores, and completed modules are preserved across tier changes.
4.4 Refund policy
- 7-day refund window — request a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have completed less than 20% of your tier’s paid content.
- Refunds requested after the 7-day window are declined except in cases of service unavailability or technical inability to access purchased content.
- Refunds are processed via the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to reflect.
- Request refunds via hello@ringsafe.in with subject “Refund Request” and your payment reference ID.
5. Content & intellectual property
5.1 Our content
All Academy content — modules, quizzes, written material, diagrams, code samples, design, logos, and assets — is owned by RingSafe and protected by Indian and international copyright law.
5.2 What you can do
With an active subscription, you may:
- Access and read module content for personal learning
- Take quizzes; track your personal progress
- Reference short excerpts (under 200 words) with attribution to RingSafe in your own writing
5.3 What you cannot do
You may not:
- Republish, redistribute, or resell RingSafe content in any form
- Share account credentials, allowing others to access paid content without their own subscription
- Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content
- Incorporate our content into competing paid educational offerings
- Use our content to train AI/ML models without explicit written permission
Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.
5.4 Your contributions
When you post in the community forum, submit a quiz answer, or provide feedback, you grant RingSafe a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and moderate your contribution on the site. You retain ownership.
6. Consulting services
6.1 Scope
Consulting engagements (VAPT, DPDP, cloud security, incident response, vCISO) are governed by a separate written Statement of Work signed with the client. These Terms apply only to access of the public ringsafe.in site and Academy; they do not modify consulting engagement contracts.
6.2 No warranty of security outcomes
Consulting deliverables represent our professional judgement based on the specific scope, time, and access provided. A clean pentest report is not a guarantee of invulnerability; a compliance assessment is not a legal opinion; incident response does not guarantee recovery of compromised data. These services reduce risk; they do not eliminate it.
7. Community guidelines
When participating in the community forum, you agree to:
- Be specific and cite sources when referencing regulations, CVEs, or vendor advisories
- Redact sensitive data — never post real credentials, customer data, unpublished vulnerabilities affecting third parties, or unredacted client information
- Respect other members; no harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks
- No self-promotion or commercial solicitation unrelated to the discussion topic
- No illegal content, pirated materials, or content encouraging unauthorised access to systems you do not own
Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.
8. Ethical use of security knowledge
RingSafe Academy teaches offensive security techniques. You agree to apply this knowledge only:
- On systems you own
- On systems you have explicit written authorisation to test
- In legitimate Capture The Flag events, bug bounty programmes, or authorised academic research
Unauthorised access to any system is a criminal offence under the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) and equivalent laws worldwide. RingSafe bears no responsibility for misuse of educational content.
9. Third-party services
RingSafe integrates with Google (OAuth), Razorpay (payments), Google Analytics, and other third parties. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for their availability or behaviour.
10. Disclaimers & limitations of liability
The RingSafe site and Academy are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the total amount you paid RingSafe in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
These limits do not apply where prohibited by law (e.g., gross negligence, wilful misconduct).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold RingSafe harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of a third party.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the service, law, or policy. Material changes are notified to registered account holders at least 14 days in advance via email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India. Before litigation, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution via email within 60 days of raising the dispute.
